Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure and network systems within a secure government environment.
- Ensure 99.9% uptime for critical government applications and databases through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
- Conduct regular security assessments and implement strict compliance measures (FISMA, NIST).
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and user experience.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the IT asset lifecycle management process.
- Document technical processes and create knowledge bases for the support team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in systems administration, preferably within a government, defense, or large-scale enterprise environment.
- Strong expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux environments.
- Valid US Government Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one) is highly preferred.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or AWS Certified are a significant plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
