Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud-based server infrastructure (Windows Server and Linux environments).
- Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FISMA).
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex system outages and performance issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute IT upgrades and migrations.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior system administrators and IT staff.
- Document technical configurations, standard operating procedures, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar IT infrastructure role.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is highly preferred.
- Valid CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification is required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
