Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain complex server environments and virtualization solutions (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Security Compliance: Enforce federal and state security protocols (NIST, HIPAA) to protect sensitive citizen data.
- System Optimization: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement patches to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Network Administration: Configure and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco/Juniper).
- Disaster Recovery: Lead and execute disaster recovery planning and testing to minimize downtime during critical events.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation, runbooks, and configuration records.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Systems Administration within a corporate or government environment.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux (Red Hat/CentOS), Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
