Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex Windows Server and Linux environments to ensure high availability and performance.
- Manage and secure Active Directory (AD) infrastructure, including user accounts, group policies, and identity management.
- Monitor system health and performance using monitoring tools to proactively resolve issues before they impact users.
- Perform regular patch management, security audits, and disaster recovery planning to meet federal and state compliance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new applications and upgrades to legacy systems.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentor junior administrators on best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Administration or Network Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux distributions (Red Hat/CentOS).
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and Microsoft Azure is highly preferred.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, CCNA, or MCSA are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced government environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.
