Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot complex Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols to ensure data protection and compliance with state and federal standards.
- Oversee network infrastructure, including VPNs, firewalls, and VLAN configurations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable IT solutions for government programs.
- Monitor system performance and perform regular backups and disaster recovery drills.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and end-users across various departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration within a government or enterprise environment.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or CompTIA Security+ preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a focus on accuracy.
