Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and development of complex IT solutions and software applications for state infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teamsâincluding engineers, project managers, and stakeholdersâto define system requirements and technical specifications.
- Oversee the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
- Conduct thorough feasibility studies and provide strategic technical recommendations to leadership.
- Ensure strict compliance with state cybersecurity standards, data privacy regulations, and information security protocols.
- Perform complex database management, data modeling, and system performance tuning.
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent years of relevant experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, architecture, or software development within the public sector or large enterprise environment.
- Proven track record of managing full SDLC projects from initiation through delivery.
- Strong technical proficiency in SQL, Java, C#, .NET, or Python.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Georgia Driverâs License is required.
- Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies is preferred.
