Responsibilities
- System Architecture & Maintenance: Design, implement, and maintain scalable IT systems that support city operations, ensuring 99.9% uptime and data integrity.
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of major IT initiatives, acting as the primary point of contact for stakeholders.
- Process Optimization: Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities to streamline operations using Agile methodologies and modern software tools.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Enforce strict data security protocols and ensure all systems comply with federal, state, and local government regulations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex technical data into clear, actionable insights for city managers, elected officials, and the public.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, serving as a subject matter expert for junior staff.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT project management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, Java, or C#. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and government contracting standards is highly preferred.
- Certifications: PMP, CAPM, or ITIL certification is a strong advantage.
- San Francisco Residency: Must be a resident of the City and County of San Francisco at the time of appointment.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences.
