Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed requirements analysis and technical feasibility studies for federal and state contracts, ensuring alignment with agency goals.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions and interfaces that comply with FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security experts and project managers, to deliver high-quality IT solutions on time and under budget.
- Maintain and optimize existing database systems and applications, ensuring 99.9% uptime and data security.
- Perform root cause analysis for system failures and implement preventative measures to enhance system resilience.
- Document technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for knowledge transfer.
- Train junior staff and stakeholders on new system functionalities and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in Systems Analysis, Software Engineering, or IT Consulting within the government or defense sector.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret Security Clearance.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, JavaScript, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Agile/Scrum certification (CSM or PSM) is a plus.
