Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement complex enterprise software solutions to support state agency operations.
- Conduct thorough system analysis and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Lead project teams in the full software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Maintain and optimize database systems to ensure data integrity, security, and high performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various state departments to identify technological needs and solutions.
- Perform code reviews, debug applications, and implement necessary patches and updates.
- Document all systems, processes, and procedures in accordance with state and organizational standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in systems analysis, software development, or a related technical role.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or SQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and modern DevOps practices is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Knowledge of state government regulations and compliance standards (NYCRR) is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
