Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of complex software systems and applications within the tax infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform detailed system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance on best practices for system architecture and security.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party development projects to ensure deliverables meet state standards.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements, including data privacy and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT project management.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python, and database technologies (SQL, Oracle, or SQL Server).
- Experience working in a government or large enterprise environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain a NYS Justice Center Level II background check.
