Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable network infrastructure for ADOT's statewide operations.
- Oversee the implementation of cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive state data and critical transportation systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure system reliability.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new technologies to optimize system performance and cost-efficiency.
- Conduct regular system audits and provide technical guidance to junior engineering staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems engineering or network administration.
- Expert knowledge of networking protocols, virtualization (VMware), and cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards (NIST, ISO).
- A valid Arizona Class D driver's license is required.
