Responsibilities
- Lead the design, integration, and implementation of complex IT systems and network architectures.
- Ensure system security, reliability, and compliance with federal standards (FISMA, NIST).
- Conduct system performance monitoring and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and solutions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Provide expert-level technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Manage project lifecycles, including planning, execution, and delivery of system upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Systems Engineering or Network Administration within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or AWS Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
