Responsibilities
- Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of complex system architectures and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) for state agencies.
- Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of critical data systems in strict compliance with federal (NIST) and state cybersecurity regulations.
- Conduct system performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning to maintain 99.9% uptime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate legacy systems with modern microservices and containerized applications.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical code reviews to ensure best practices are followed.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architectures and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure architecture, or cloud administration.
- Proven expertise in managing Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Strong proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with ITIL framework and agile project management methodologies.
- Active or ability to obtain a government background security clearance.
