Responsibilities
- Oversee design and construction of highway, bridge, and transit infrastructure projects
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Conduct field inspections and ensure compliance with Caltrans standards
- Lead project teams and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders
- Analyze traffic data and develop traffic control plans
- Review environmental impact reports and mitigation measures
- Prepare grant applications and manage project budgets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California
- Proficiency in transportation engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation)
- Experience with Caltrans design standards and procedures
- Knowledge of federal/state transportation regulations (FHWA, Caltrans)
- Strong project management and leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
