Responsibilities
- Lead complex highway and bridge design projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation
- Oversee transportation planning studies and traffic impact analyses
- Manage project budgets and timelines for multimodal infrastructure initiatives
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies for regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer reviews of technical documents
- Develop sustainable solutions for urban mobility challenges
- Prepare funding applications and grant proposals for infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering (ABET accredited)
- 5+ years of progressive transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Advanced proficiency in transportation modeling software (e.g., TransCAD, VISSIM)
- Demonstrated project management for public infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of MUTCD, AASHTO, and INDOT design standards
- Experience with environmental permitting processes (NEPA, Section 106)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
