Responsibilities
- Perform highway inspections and maintenance activities during weekend shifts
- Operate specialized equipment including traffic counters and pavement markers
- Install and maintain traffic control devices and signage systems
- Document field observations using digital reporting tools
- Collaborate with engineering teams on weekend infrastructure projects
- Respond to emergency road conditions during off-hours
- Conduct traffic studies and data collection during weekend peak hours
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean record
- Experience in highway maintenance or construction (1+ years)
- Ability to work weekends and flexible hours
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficient in using hand tools and technical equipment
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance focus
- Basic computer skills for reporting systems
