Responsibilities
- Oversee design and implementation of highway/bridge rehabilitation projects in LA County
- Lead environmental compliance reviews (CEQA/NEPA) for transportation initiatives
- Manage consultant contracts and construction budgets exceeding $5M
- Coordinate with city/county agencies on traffic flow optimization
- Develop innovative solutions for climate-resilient infrastructure
- Mentor junior engineers on transportation best practices
- Prepare technical reports and funding proposals for state/federal grants
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited)
- 5+ years of transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California
- Experience with Caltrans standards and specifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and traffic simulation software
- Knowledge of federal/state transportation funding programs
- Ability to obtain security clearance for sensitive infrastructure data
- Valid California driver's license
