Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive transportation plans for Middle Tennessee
- Analyze traffic patterns and infrastructure data using GIS and modeling software
- Coordinate with local governments and stakeholders on project alignment
- Prepare federal funding applications and compliance documentation
- Lead environmental impact assessments and public engagement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with federal/state transportation regulations
- Mentor junior planning staff and oversee project deliverables
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive transportation planning experience
- Professional certification (AICP, PTOE, or PE) preferred
- Expertise in traffic modeling software (TransCAD, VISSIM)
- Strong analytical skills with data interpretation abilities
- Experience with NEPA documentation and federal funding processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Tennessee driver's license required
