Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive transportation planning strategies for urban and rural areas
- Analyze traffic flow patterns and recommend infrastructure improvements using GIS software
- Prepare federal grant applications and compliance reports for USDOT/FHWA projects
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with local governments, community groups, and industry partners
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and environmental impact assessments for proposed projects
- Oversee corridor studies and long-range transportation plans (LRTPs)
- Manage project budgets and ensure adherence to procurement protocols
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in transportation planning with government or public sector
- Professional certification (AICP, PTOE, or PE) preferred
- Proficiency in transportation modeling software (TransCAD, Cube, Vistro)
- Expertise in federal compliance (23 CFR, NEPA, Title VI)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in traffic impact studies
- Excellent written communication for technical reports and policy documents
- Valid Georgia driver's license
