Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive transportation plans and impact studies for Charlotte region infrastructure projects
- Analyze traffic patterns, transit systems, and multimodal transportation options
- Coordinate with local government agencies and community stakeholders
- Prepare grant applications and secure federal/state funding opportunities
- Utilize GIS software and traffic modeling tools for data analysis
- Lead public outreach initiatives and community engagement sessions
- Ensure compliance with federal/state transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of transportation planning experience
- Professional certification (AICP, PTOE) preferred
- Expertise in traffic modeling software (TransCAD, Synchro)
- Strong data analysis and GIS mapping skills
- Experience with federal transportation grant programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
