Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive transportation plans for Boston metro area infrastructure projects
- Analyze traffic patterns and transit data using GIS and modeling software
- Coordinate with federal, state, and municipal agencies for project alignment
- Prepare environmental impact assessments and compliance documentation
- Manage project budgets and timelines for multi-phase initiatives
- Mentor junior planners and lead stakeholder engagement sessions
- Stay current on federal transportation funding opportunities and regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of transportation planning experience with government agencies
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and traffic modeling tools
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
- Strong knowledge of NEPA and state environmental compliance
- Experience managing federal grant-funded projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
