Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive transportation plans for Baltimore metropolitan area
- Analyze traffic patterns and infrastructure data to optimize road/rail/transit systems
- Coordinate with state agencies and local governments on project execution
- Prepare grant applications and secure federal/state funding for initiatives
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and compliance reviews
- Lead public engagement sessions and stakeholder communication
- Oversee transportation modeling software and GIS applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of transportation planning experience
- Proficiency in transportation modeling software (TransCAD, VISSIM)
- Strong knowledge of federal/state transportation regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with public-private partnerships
- Valid Maryland driver's license
- Possession of AICP certification preferred
