Responsibilities
- Lead transportation planning studies and corridor analyses for Memphis-area projects
- Develop and implement multimodal transportation improvement plans
- Analyze traffic data and forecast future transportation needs
- Prepare technical reports, environmental documents, and grant applications
- Coordinate with local governments, stakeholders, and community groups
- Manage project budgets and timelines using transportation planning software
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (FHWA, TDOT guidelines)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of transportation planning experience with state/federal projects
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and traffic modeling tools (TransCAD)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
- Professional certification (AICP, PTOE) preferred
- Experience with NEPA documentation and public engagement processes
