Responsibilities
- Analyze traffic flow patterns and infrastructure capacity using GIS software and statistical modeling
- Develop comprehensive transportation plans aligned with regional growth projections
- Prepare federal/state grant applications and compliance documentation
- Coordinate with local governments on corridor planning and multimodal transportation initiatives
- Conduct public outreach sessions and incorporate community feedback into planning documents
- Monitor project implementation and report on performance metrics
- Stay current on transportation legislation and emerging mobility technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of transportation planning experience in public sector
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and traffic simulation software
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for technical reporting
- Familiarity with NEPA, FHWA, and TxDOT regulations
- Experience managing public outreach initiatives
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
