Responsibilities
- Lead development of multimodal transportation plans for LA County
- Analyze traffic patterns and congestion data using GIS and modeling software
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies for project alignment
- Prepare NEPA documents and environmental impact assessments
- Manage public outreach initiatives and community engagement
- Oversee transportation infrastructure budgets and grant applications
- Mentor junior planners and supervise project teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of transportation planning experience in public sector
- Professional certification (AICP/PE) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, TransCAD, and traffic simulation software
- Demonstrated experience with NEPA compliance processes
- Strong quantitative analysis and report writing skills
- Valid California driver's license
