Responsibilities
- Develop and implement transportation corridor studies using GIS analysis and traffic modeling software
- Prepare NEPA documentation and environmental impact assessments for state-funded projects
- Coordinate with local governments on transportation master plans and grant applications
- Analyze multimodal transportation data to recommend infrastructure improvements
- Present findings to public stakeholders and transportation committees
- Manage project budgets and compliance with TxDOT procurement policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of transportation planning experience with government agencies
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, TransCAD, and traffic simulation software
- Strong understanding of federal/state transportation regulations (FTA, FHWA)
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Excellent written communication skills for technical reports
