Responsibilities
- Lead complex transportation corridor planning studies for urban and rural areas
- Develop comprehensive traffic management and multimodal integration strategies
- Prepare environmental documents (CEQA/NEPA) for major infrastructure projects
- Analyze multimodal transportation data to identify system bottlenecks
- Coordinate with local agencies on congestion management programs
- Manage project budgets and timelines using transportation planning software
- Present findings to stakeholders and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in transportation planning (state/local preferred)
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and transportation modeling tools
- Expertise in CEQA/NEPA compliance processes
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- Strong analytical and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience managing transportation capital improvement projects
- Knowledge of California transportation policy frameworks
