Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive neighborhood planning initiatives for mixed-use developments
- Analyze zoning codes and propose equitable land-use policy reforms
- Coordinate with 15+ city departments on infrastructure development projects
- Prepare environmental impact reports under CEQA guidelines
- Manage community engagement processes for diverse stakeholders
- Develop long-range transportation plans aligned with SFMTA goals
- Oversee capital improvement budget allocation for public spaces
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal planning experience with California cities
- Professional AICP certification required
- Advanced proficiency in GIS and urban modeling software
- Demonstrated success in affordable housing policy development
- Expert knowledge of California environmental regulations
- Proven ability to facilitate complex multi-stakeholder negotiations
- Spanish language proficiency preferred
