Responsibilities
- Develop and update comprehensive plans, zoning ordinances, and land use policies
- Review development proposals for compliance with city regulations and sustainability goals
- Lead community engagement initiatives and public hearings
- Analyze demographic, economic, and environmental data for strategic planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments on infrastructure projects
- Prepare reports and presentations for city council and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of urban planning experience, with 2+ years in government
- Texas AICP certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Proficiency in GIS software and planning analytics tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Texas driver's license
