Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive transportation plans aligned with federal grant requirements
- Lead environmental impact assessments under NEPA guidelines
- Coordinate with city officials on zoning and land-use policies
- Manage multi-million-dollar infrastructure capital improvement projects
- Analyze demographic and traffic data for policy recommendations
- Prepare federal funding applications and progress reports
- Mentor junior planners and oversee consultant contracts
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience with federal/state transportation projects
- Expertise in GIS mapping and transportation modeling software
- Professional AICP certification required
- Knowledge of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 81A
- Proven experience with NEPA documentation processes
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
- Ability to secure federal/state grant funding
