Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive neighborhood revitalization projects and zoning code updates
- Analyze demographic, economic, and environmental data to inform planning decisions
- Coordinate with community stakeholders and public officials for inclusive policy development
- Manage federal/state grant applications and compliance reporting
- Develop sustainability plans aligned with Boston's climate action roadmap
- Prepare detailed land use reports and urban design recommendations
- Oversee public engagement initiatives for major infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in municipal or regional planning
- Expertise in GIS mapping and urban data visualization tools
- Proven record of community engagement and public meeting facilitation
- Knowledge of Massachusetts zoning laws and environmental regulations
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex datasets
- Certified Planner (AICP) designation preferred
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
