Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and organize official court records, files, and docket sheets with strict adherence to confidentiality protocols.
- Process and file legal documents, motions, judgments, and subpoenas accurately and efficiently using digital filing systems.
- Assist court personnel and the general public with inquiries regarding court schedules, procedures, and case status.
- Operate office equipment, including scanners, printers, and computer terminals, to digitize and archive court documents.
- Prepare and issue legal notices, summonses, and other court-related correspondence.
- Maintain the reception area and assist with visitor check-in to ensure a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
- Perform data entry tasks to update court information in the county's management system.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Legal Studies or Paralegal Technology is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of administrative or clerical experience, preferably within a legal, government, or healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer literacy.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in data and documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse populations.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive legal and personal information.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the county as needed.
