Responsibilities
- Greet and Assist: Welcome customers warmly and provide exceptional service by answering questions regarding vehicle registration, driver's licenses, and identification cards.
- Process Transactions: Accurately process payments, renewals, and documentation requests at the service counter and via kiosks.
- Problem Resolution: Handle complex customer inquiries and complaints with patience and empathy, escalating issues to supervisors when necessary.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of customer transactions and interactions in the state database.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all actions comply with California Vehicle Code and DMV policies and procedures.
- Multi-Tasking: Manage high-volume traffic efficiently while ensuring the queue moves smoothly and customers are informed of wait times.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of professional customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Languages: Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are highly preferred and often required for this location.
- Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite and ability to learn new computer systems quickly.
- Attributes: Strong verbal communication skills, professional demeanor, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
- Background: Ability to pass a background check and DMV record review.
