Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the stability, security, and performance of local and wide area network infrastructure.
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems for state agencies.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive state data from cyber threats.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal staff and end-users regarding complex IT issues.
- Conduct regular system audits and capacity planning to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline IT processes and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure/AWS) is highly desirable.
- Ability to obtain a State of North Carolina Driver’s License (if required for travel).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced government environment.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
