Responsibilities
- Manage Federal Network Infrastructure: Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and security of local and wide-area networks supporting federal clients.
- Ensure Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure adherence to federal standards (FISMA, NIST) and agency-specific policies.
- Ticket Resolution & Support: Receive and prioritize incoming help desk tickets, providing timely technical solutions and documentation.
- System Administration: Perform regular system updates, patch management, and hardware troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and servers.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, network diagrams, and incident reports.
- Client Communication: Liaise effectively with federal personnel to understand technical requirements and provide clear status updates.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CISSP preferred; Active Top Secret or Secret Clearance is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT support or network administration within a government or corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, Windows Server, and virtualization technologies.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel to client sites as needed and work flexible hours during peak periods.
