Role Overview:
The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving critical state infrastructure, ensuring data security, and providing technical support to government stakeholders. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to excellence in public service.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and network infrastructure for state agencies.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware or software issues with immediate resolution protocols.
- Enforce strict cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data and ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to optimize efficiency.
- Provide technical training and guidance to junior staff and government personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or CISSP is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state government IT policies, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel between government facilities.
