Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full project lifecycle for state-wide IT modernization projects, ensuring alignment with federal and state compliance standards.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced government environment.
- Stakeholder management: Facilitate communication between technical teams, executive leadership, and external vendors.
- Ensure all deliverables meet strict GDPR and Federal IT Security compliance requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to prevent project delays.
- Mentor junior project managers and coordinate cross-functional teams across various state agencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the Government or Federal sector.
- PMP or PgMP certification is highly preferred.
- Expert knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar project management tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for high-level reporting.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance (if required for specific roles).
