Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of state agency network systems and servers.
- Analyze complex data sets to generate reports that support state policy initiatives and budget allocations.
- Implement and enforce strict cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data from cyber threats.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to coordinate software upgrades and system migrations.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and end-user support to state employees across multiple departments.
- Conduct regular compliance audits to ensure adherence to federal and state IT regulations.
- Participate in the planning and execution of emergency disaster recovery protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a government, public sector, or large-scale corporate IT environment.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and experience with cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Strong knowledge of information security standards, including NIST or ISO 27001 compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- Ability to obtain a State of Ohio security clearance and pass a thorough background investigation.
