Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain state government IT infrastructure during night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Provide Tier 3 support for critical systems including network security, cloud platforms, and data centers
- Execute system patches, updates, and security protocols during off-peak hours
- Collaborate with day-shift teams for seamless cross-functional operations
- Document incidents, resolutions, and system performance metrics
- Respond to emergency alerts and perform system recovery procedures
- Ensure compliance with state security protocols and federal regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of enterprise IT support experience with night shift exposure
- Expertise in Windows Server, Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification
- Strong analytical skills for complex system troubleshooting
- Ability to obtain and maintain California government security clearance
- Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration
