Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and server maintenance during weekend hours.
- Assist state employees with password resets, account access, and software installations.
- Monitor network performance and security alerts to ensure compliance with state cybersecurity standards.
- Document technical issues and resolutions in the central helpdesk database.
- Collaborate with the central IT team to implement new software deployments.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365.
- Familiarity with Helpdesk ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk).
- Ability to work rotating weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service oriented mindset.
