Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure stability during weekend shifts.
- Perform routine diagnostics and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues.
- Ensure compliance with state security protocols and data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with the on-call team to resolve critical incidents.
- Document technical procedures and system changes.
- Conduct regular system backups and disaster recovery testing.
- Provide technical support to state agency employees via helpdesk channels.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering or IT support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, and switching protocols.
- Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking hardware.
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (e.g., Saturday/Sunday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- U.S. Citizenship required for state government positions.
