Responsibilities
- Monitor facility security and conduct regular perimeter checks during night shift hours
- Process inmate intake/discharge documentation with strict adherence to state protocols
- Respond to emergency incidents using de-escalation techniques and crisis management training
- Maintain detailed incident reports and digital records for compliance review
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies during cross-jurisdictional operations
- Conduct routine welfare checks and ensure facility safety standards are met
- Train junior officers on night shift protocols and emergency response procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and polygraph examination
- Physical fitness certification demonstrating ability to meet operational demands
- Minimum 1 year security or law enforcement experience
