Responsibilities
- Patrol and monitor state facilities during overnight hours (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Operate advanced security systems including CCTV, access control, and alarm monitoring
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and security breaches with immediate action
- Conduct thorough facility inspections and report maintenance issues
- Maintain detailed logs of all security activities and incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergency situations
- Enforce state policies and safety protocols across assigned facilities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Michigan Security Guard License
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with surveillance systems and access control technology
- Strong observational skills and ability to remain alert during overnight shifts
- Excellent written communication for incident reporting
