Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based health policy recommendations for urban communities
- Analyze Medicaid and public health program data to identify equity gaps
- Coordinate interdepartmental initiatives with Chicago city officials
- Prepare legislative briefings and funding proposals for state representatives
- Lead community outreach campaigns in Chicago's South and West sides
- Monitor federal healthcare legislation implications for Illinois
- Manage $2M+ grant budgets for public health infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years government policy analysis experience
- Proficiency in health data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Illinois residency required for state security clearance
- Demonstrated experience with CMS and IDHS reporting systems
- Valid Illinois driver's license with clean record
- Bilingual English/Spanish certification preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination verification mandatory
