Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas to maintain public order and enforce state laws and regulations.
- Respond to emergency calls, accidents, and distress signals to ensure public safety.
- Write detailed and accurate incident reports documenting observations and actions taken.
- Interact with the public to provide information, resolve conflicts, and de-escalate tense situations.
- Monitor surveillance systems and communicate with dispatch regarding suspicious activities.
- Assist in traffic control and accident investigation when required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or military experience preferred.
- Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a State of Florida security clearance.
- Physical fitness requirements: Ability to pass a physical agility test and medical screening.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure in high-stress environments.
- No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history.
