Responsibilities
- Process and verify weekly pension claims and retirement applications with 100% accuracy.
- Conduct weekend audits of financial records to ensure strict compliance with state pension regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to retirees via remote channels and in-person assistance at our Indianapolis office.
- Collaborate with the HR team to resolve complex pension discrepancies and inquiries.
- Update and maintain the state pension database, ensuring data integrity across all systems.
- Prepare weekly disbursement reports for state oversight committees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in government benefits, pension administration, or payroll processing.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems.
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts as required by the department's operational needs.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to commute to downtown Indianapolis.
