Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the integrity, security, and availability of the department’s network servers and infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems across the enterprise.
- Monitor system performance, analyze data trends, and implement proactive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement IT solutions that support state government objectives.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state security regulations, including data protection and access control protocols.
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and mentorship to junior IT staff and end-users.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or CCNA are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Strong proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, and virtualization technologies.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
