Responsibilities
- Design and oversee highway, bridge, and transit infrastructure projects
- Analyze traffic patterns and data to optimize transportation systems
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and safety standards
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and contractor relationships
- Conduct field inspections and quality control assessments
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and government agencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum 3 years of transportation engineering experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software
- Strong knowledge of MUTCD and NCDOT standards
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
