Responsibilities
- Design and oversee highway, bridge, and traffic signal projects across Maricopa County
- Analyze traffic data using modeling software to optimize infrastructure efficiency
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and construction plans
- Collaborate with federal, tribal, and municipal partners on transportation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with FHWA, ADOT, and local regulations
- Manage project budgets and timelines for multimodal transportation systems
- Conduct field inspections and quality assurance reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (ABET accredited)
- Minimum 3 years of transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and traffic modeling software
- Strong knowledge of MUTCD, AASHTO standards, and federal regulations
- Experience with transportation planning and environmental documentation
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean record
- Excellent written communication and project documentation skills
