Responsibilities
- Design and oversee highway construction projects in Mecklenburg County
- Conduct traffic impact studies and recommend infrastructure improvements
- Manage project budgets and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Collaborate with local government agencies on transportation planning
- Prepare detailed engineering reports and permit applications
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate field inspections

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and transportation modeling software
- Familiarity with NCDOT design standards and MUTCD guidelines
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience with federal grant programs (e.g., STP, CMAQ)
